                                                                             DOODLE SCRIPT

(Stage starts out pitch black, then Doodle appears tied to a chair in a spotlight)

Doodle: It doesn’t matter what you do to me, I’ll NEVER talk!

?: Is that so, Doodle? Will see how defiant you are when you’re on the floor, crying and wishing you were never born!

D: Your interrogation techniques have no effect on me, I’m a trained spy… agent…operative…person!

?:  Doodle, just because you got that Junior Spy Badge that was in that cereal box doesn’t make you a spy.

D: For the record, it’s a Junior Spy License!

?: OK,OK whatever… but for the last time…

( The lights turn on and we see that the “mystery” person is Robot)

Robot: Where Is My Nature Program That I Recorded?!

D: What makes you think I have it, Robot?!

R: Don’t play dumb with me! Let’s look at the evidence, shall we?

( Robot pulls down a screen with slides on it)

R: Yesterday, 2:30 P.M., my DVD is safe.
(Changes to slide with Doodle taking disk)

R: 2:31 P.M…
( Changes slide to Doodle replacing disk w/ donut)
R: 2:32 P.M… Did you REALLY think I wouldn’t notice that there was a donut in the DVD case…?

D: That could be ANYBODY, Robot, you don’t have any proof-
(Slide changes to picture of Doodle posing for the camera)

D: Ha ha…, you gotta admit, though, I’ve got great dimples…

R: WHERE IS IT?!

D: I uh, taped…over…it…

R: WITH WHAT?!

D: Um, five hours of Frankie and Beany
(Cut briefly to an F & B segment, show how stupid it is)

(Robot tears up)
R: Y-you MONSTER! How could you, Doodle? You know I hate that show!

D: You do? But Robot, your always so happy at the end of every episode-wait…oh.
Besides we were out of recording disks! Y’know, If we had one of those fancy cable providers, we could record all of your shows AND my shows without using a single disk!

R: OK, I’ll tell you what, if you can get the money to pay for it, then we can have that! Just, uh, let me know when you can afford something that costs more than five dollars.

D: *looks in wallet*

R: Or six.
(Doodle frowns)

                                                  END OF SCENE 1
(Doodle opens newspaper)
D: Let’s see…what’s a job that anybody could do?
(In paper, he finds a space that says ‘A JOB THAT ANY  IDIOT COULD DO’)
D: Well that was easy!

(Zoom in on “Megamart”, inside, Doodle and the store manager are talking)

D: Ok, what do I do?

Manager: Well, you see those doors over there?

D: Yeah?

M: You go over there-

D: And clean the windows?

M: Nope, you just stand there.

D: and?

M: And nothin’. Just stand there all day and greet people.

D: That’s it?

M:*nods* If you did anything else, then we’d have to actually pay you minimum wage!

D: You can count on me sir!

M: Just don’t take any lunch or bathroom breaks and don’t join any unions!

(People start to come in, totally disinterested in Doodle)

D: Well hello sir, welcome to Megamart! Hello! Hi there! Greetings! Salutat-uns- er, Salutateavins, salivations? Saloolatoota- um, hey everybody! Welcome to megamillions,er Megamart! Hi! Where do you sleep?( scene skips ahead so we know hours have passed) unnggh….
( A bunch of tough guys with guns come in)
D: Hello sirs! Might I suggest that you leave your firearms outside!

Robber1: Might I suggest that you shut up and step aside!(shoves past Doodle) This is a robbery and your all hostages ect. Ect…
                                         END OF SCENE 2
(Doodle is transported to the home electronics area and is seated near the manager)

M: Well, got any bright ideas new kid?

D: Bright ideas, bright ideas… Bright! Oh, no! I left the light in my room on! *pulls out cell phone*

B: You have a cell phone?! Call the poli-!

D:Shhhh! I’m calling my friend!

M: WHAT?!

(Robot is working in lab and hears phone ring. He answers)

R: Hello?

D: Yeah, I just remembered*manager is calling for help in background* I left the light in my room on, could you turn it off for me?

R: Um, ok, who’s that in the background?

D: Just ignore it.

R: Ok, there, the light in your room is OFF. Anything else?

D: Hmmmmmmm…..Nope!

R: No life or death situations?

D: Ha Ha, no!

R k, bye.

D: bye

(Manager is seething with anger)

M: If we get through this alive you are FIRED!
(Robber1 hears and comes over)

R1: OK, what’s going on here?

D: He’s angry cuz I didn’t use this phone to call the cops.

R1: Well good, and to make sure you don’t I’ll be taking it!

D:*smiles* OK!

M:*gasp*

                                                          END OF SCENE 3

(Awkward silence)

D: Sooo…. Seen any good movies lately?
(Manager just glares at him, awkward silence)

D: Movie! That’s it! We can watch a movie! Let’s see here, which of these ones would be good…?

(Camera switches between four bins: “Bad Knock- off crap”, “ Bad Sequel crap” “Straight to DVD crap”, “ Bad Knock-off of a Bad Sequel that went Straight to DVD Bargain crap”)

D: Ooh, bargains! Let’s see here, ooh this one looks good! Paul Blarge, Outlet Mall Cop!
Have you seen this one yet?
(Manager glares)
Let’s see here, it says: “Paul Blarge is a heartwarming comedy for the whole family. Directed by…blah blah blah, ah here we go! Paul Blarge is and overweight outlet mall cop whose life is turned upside down when a group of robbers take over his mall. Paul Blarge stops them by using traps constructed from everyday items in the stores he has sworn to protect.” (As an additional gag, Paul Blarge is shown to be a Canadian-knockoff, so the case has Blarge with stereotypical Canadian things) Sounds like a great mov-*stops and eyes turn wide* Hey manager person! I’m gonna need an extension cord, some marbles, rollerskates and some superglue!

M: Do you have a plan?

D: You bet I do!

(Manager comes in with supplies)

D: Thanks, now I won’t need to get those before I leave!

M: Huh?
(Doodle chucks DVD at R1’s head)

R1: OW! What the-?!
(Sunglasses fall off and eyes adjust to the light, pupils constrict)
Hey Bob!

Bob: Yeah?

R1: This isn’t the bank!

B: It isn’t?!

R1: No, it’s a Megamart!

B: A Megamart?! So you mean we’ve been at the wrong place this whole time?!

R1: Take off your sunglasses Bob!

B:*Takes off sunglasses* Well I’ll be!

R1:*turns to Doodle* Well, umm, heh heh, sorry for holding you hostage guys! Ugg, this is awkward…

D: That’s ok, honest mistake. Anybody else could have done the same thing!

R1: Oh and, uh, while we go down the street to rob the bank, don’t try to call the police or anything because the phones don’t work!

B: What are you talking about, we never cut the phone lines-

R1: Ahem! I said that the phones AREN’T WORKING!

B: Ohhhhh, gotcha…!

D: Ok, well, see you around!

                                                                  END OF SCENE 4
(Doodle and the manager walk outside)
M: How did you know that those robbers would back off like that?

D: I didn’t, that part was a total accident.

M: You mean you threw that DVD, knowing full well that you could anger them and endanger our lives even more?!

D: Huh, when you put it that way, you make it sound stupid and irresponsible…

M: You’re FIRED!

D: You already did that..

M: Well then, I ban you from my store!
(Manager storms off)

D: And a good day to you too, sir!
(Doodle walks and meets Robot)

R: How’d it go?

D: It was a brilliant success!

R: You got fired, didn’t you.

D: Yes, and I got the supplies you need to make our diskless tv recording device, AND I got Paul Blarge: Outlet Mall Cop!

R: Ooh… Canadian!

(Cut to CU of R1’s face)
R1: OK everybody! Hands behind your heads and…*takes off sunglasses*
I gotta stop wearing these things! (Zoom out and we see robbers in the middle of a desert)
Seeing as how I will never finish Doodle-Episode 1 and I'm basically dumping it here on deviantART, I'm uploading the original script I wrote for it at age 15. As such, this is below my current standard of quality for my writing, and since I never intended for anyone else to read it, I left out A LOT of details about the environments/actions/etc. that may cause confusion, since I knew what was going to happen in my mind already and I would be able to fill in those details during the animation process. Check out the (barely) finished first two scenes here: fav.me/d7zcd53
